Building a dental practice from scratch is not for the faint-hearted. It demands clinical vision, business acumen, an unwavering sense of what you want to create — and the resilience to push through when the process resists you. Dr. Amandine Beke reflects on the journey that became Vere Dental.
The Search for the Right Location
Finding the right premises took the better part of eighteen months. Dr. Beke was specific about what she needed: natural light, generous ceiling heights, a neighbourhood with genuine community character, and the kind of space that could be transformed into something that felt nothing like a conventional dental practice. Nine Elms, on the cusp of Battersea, ticked each box. The industrial heritage of the area, combined with its rapid but considered regeneration, felt like the right backdrop for a practice built on the same principles: elevating something familiar into something exceptional.

Building the Right Team
A practice is only as strong as the people within it. From the earliest stages of planning, Dr. Beke was equally focused on the clinical and human qualities of every person who would work at Vere Dental — not just technical excellence, but a genuine warmth, a curiosity, and a shared commitment to patient care that goes beyond what is strictly required.
“Every decision — from the materials we used to the team we assembled — was made with the same question in mind: is this the best we can offer?”
Dr. Amandine Beke
